Anxiety and chronic fatigue

Whilst I may have the occasional feeling of anxiety now, it has reduced enormously compared to when I first started the hypnotherapy. I have felt heard and ‘cared for’ by Helen during the time we have spent together. She is professional, friendly, listens deeply, reflects back to check in, explains the process and offers other useful and interesting information to explain what is going on and how the hypnotherapy can help to improve my everyday life.

Although I live near enough to visit for sessions each time, for personal (health) reasons it has been more convenient for me to work with Helen via Zoom for most of our sessions. Helen is warm and welcoming, both online and in person. I wasn’t sure what to expect initially, but I’ve found the sessions to be very beneficial for my wellbeing. I can definitely recommend working with Helen.

Mild stress

I was intrigued to give hypnotherapy a go in order to better manage day to day stresses. As the sessions progressed I was able to identify difficult situations and emotions and find more positive ways of coping. It’s been a gentle awakening and awareness and something I’m keen to keep pursuing by listening to the recording of an evening. The entire course of sessions was well put together and professionally delivered by Helen. The voice recording instantly put me at ease and Helen’s voice tone and pace makes for a very restful experience. I didn’t think initially I would need this therapy but it’s made such a difference.

Overwhelm and burnout

I found the sessions fascinating, very helpful and much more achievable than I was expecting. I feel in a very different place and position than I did before starting to work with Helen. I loved the positivity side of things – it was not at all what I had imagined. I thought we would be going over past experiences and looking for root causes, but it was all about moving forward more positively. I have learnt how to empty my stress bucket and I can now get a better quality of sleep, which is helping me be more focused. I feel much less drained of energy and resources, and I can once again get through the days, dealing much more effectively with all the issues I face.

Anxiety and IBS

I started this course with curiosity, but unsure how Solution Focused Hypnotherapy could help with longstanding issues like anxiety or IBS. Helen was friendly and professional, explaining the process clearly and reassuringly, and l really enjoyed the sessions. The hypnotherapy part of each session and the recording to use at home were both very relaxing. It felt as though solutions to issues raised during the session would arise from somewhere deep in my subconscious mind, either during the hypnotherapy or afterwards. I finished the course with strategies to deal with ongoing problems that are simple, achievable and at the same time quite profound. I would definitely recommend Helen and Solution Focused Hypnotherapy to anyone who has tried unsuccessfully to solve a physical or emotional problem in their life.

Stress and resilience

I came to hypnotherapy to learn new strategies to help change my mindset into a more positive way of thinking and to stop the negative thoughts spiralling out of control. I wanted to find ways to relax, clear my mind and build my resilience to cope with difficult situations better.

My weekly sessions with Helen have been excellent, very productive. The supportive strategies Helen has given me for positive thinking and the relaxation techniques have greatly benefited me. My ways of thinking have improved, and so have my resilience and overall mental wellbeing.

I am truly grateful that Helen came into my life when she did as I had been experiencing a very challenging time in my mental health. Helen has taught me how to change my mind set into a more positive one, remind me of hope and find the enjoyment in life again. I have turned a corner because of Helen’s support and guidance throughout my hypnotherapy sessions.  I would very much like to thank Helen for her compassionate approach helping me during my well-being journey into positive thinking.  Her meditation audio is so relaxing and soothing, giving me a real sense of comfort.

Generalised anxiety

The whole experience was a bit of a roller-coaster for me. I felt a lot of resistance the first 6 weeks, and I felt very anxious during the “what’s been good” process. I think this is because I couldn’t see any good in my life at that time – plus I’m not used to talking about me in a positive way. And there were a few sessions in the middle where I really didn’t want to come, as I didn’t have any “what’s been good” moments that week (or I didn’t know how to look for them). But as the weeks went on, I started to write in my book, which really helped me, and the resistance began to fade. The sessions ended up feeling like seeing a friend and talking about all the good stuff that’s happened that week. Now I don’t concentrate on all the bad stuff. It has given me more room in my head to organise myself day to day. Thank you for helping me through this journey.

Past regrets

Helen is a fantastic coach. She was great at building a rapport and making me comfortable in the Zoom session. I was asked to give a description as to what is causing me angst and she suggested a couple of techniques we could utilise to help with the situation to reduce my repeated and unhelpful thoughts. Helen then guided me through an NLP technique using a very inclusive coaching style. She encouraged me to think about my preferred outcome which really helped. The time flew by and I felt much better about the situation after the session. She was calm, professional and supportive throughout. The session was extremely helpful and really helped me adjust my mindset and thoughts around the issue I am dealing with. I very highly recommend Helen as a coach – her expertise, experience and understanding was first rate.
